In Sussex we have two Jordans Farm Partnership Farms. Up Marden Farm and Lordington Farm ensure they manage their farms for wildlife giving over at least 10% of their land to Wildlife. They also uphold the highest farming sustainability standards through LEAF

You can visit Lordington Farm using its public footpath, perfect for a stroll or seeing more of where your food comes from. Lordington Farm also has an annual open day in July to showcase it’s lavender! If you’re lucky, you might be able to see some of the farmland species such as hares, lapwings and barn owls that the farmers are helping with through their habitat management commitment. Hedges, field margins, meadows, woods, rivers and ponds can all be found on farms and help to provide essential habitats for wildlife to thrive. Why not use a spotting sheetto try and spot some farmland birds!

You can also get out and about or explore your wild side by visiting your local Trust, The Wildlife Trust of Sussex. You can find out all about the history of the local Trust and keep up to date with news and events!
